Event Description

Join us for a morning of FREE CLASSES led by top-notch instructors! Cosumnes Parks & Recreation is bringing you a sneak peek of our new fitness classes: Les Mills BodyPump, BodyCombat, and BodyBalance! Never heard of them? This is the perfect chance to find out what they're all about. However you like to move, we want to provide you with the opportunity to find a workout you enjoy.

  • Times
    • 8 am & 9 am: Feel the burn in the popular strength-building class, BodyPump! 💪
    • 10 am: Discover how martial arts meets cardio in the high-energy class, BodyCombat! 🥊
    • 11 am: Find your zen and balance in the yoga-fusion class, BodyBalance! 🧘‍♀️

  • Session A: August 21 - September 29
  • Session B: October 2 - November 10
  • Session C: November 13 - December 29 (No class on November 23 and December 25)

Class Offerings

COREFit: Strength & Conditioning (Bodyweight)

  • A full-body workout consisting of intervals, circuits, and functional movements to increase cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, and agility. 
  • All fitness levels are welcome. 
  • Equipment provided: mat.

COREFit: Strength & Conditioning (Weights)

  • A strength-based, full-body workout consisting of intervals, circuits, and functional movements to increase cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, and agility. This workout uses a barbell, weight plates, and body-weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups, burn calories, and build lean muscle. 
  • All fitness levels are welcome. 
  • Equipment provided: barbell, weight plates, bench, and mat.

  • Take your fitness to the next level. Adding HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts to your life will get you the results you'll be addicted to. These HIIT workouts build cardiovascular fitness while improving strength, building lean muscle, and maximizing calorie burn.

COREFit: Les Mills BodyPump

  • Starts October 3
  • A barbell workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more. 
  • All levels are welcome. 
  • Equipment provided: barbell, bench, and weight plates.

Xtreme Hip-Hop: Steppin' with Mo'

  • This is a beginner-friendly, high-energy step aerobic class with a twist. We use the latest upbeat songs to create an exciting environment where your focus will be geared toward having fun and not noticing the many calories being burned.

Aquatic Fitness

Shallow Water Fitness, Deep Water Fitness, Spin, Jogging, Yoga, Tabata, Stretch n' Tone, Cardio Splash, and Piloga are offered at our pools. These classes take place in or on the water and are a great way to get moving with less impact on the body while staying cool! Learn more

Poolside Fitness

This land-based fitness closure offers participants a dynamic 25-minute workout right next to the pool! This course is led by a certified fitness instructor who will guide participants through a series of exercises that focus on strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness.
