Cosumnes Parks & Recreation is proud to offer an awesome lineup of summer day camps across Elk Grove!

During summer break, it is essential that we give our kids meaningful and intentional interactions to promote their social and emotional learning and physical health. Cosumnes Parks & Recreation offers two types of day camps that'll get your child excited for summer: Sammy's Summer Camp and Specialty Camps.

SAMMY'S SUMMER CAMP

Sammys Summer Camp

This is our all-inclusive summer day camp filled with fun games, arts and crafts, sports, science, playground time, swimming every day, and weekly special events. REGISTER HERE!

  • Time: 9 am - 4 pm (with free extended care option)
  • Weeks offered: 1 - 10

    • Wackford Complex/Laguna Community Park
    • Youth Center in Elk Grove Park

SPECIALTY CAMPS

Sports Summer Camp

Improve your skills through organized drills and fun games with an emphasis on fair play and teamwork. REGISTER HERE!

  • Ages: 7 - 14
  • Half day: 9 am - 12 pm (with free extended care option)
  • Full day: 9 am - 4 pm (with free extended care option) 
  • Weeks offered: 1 - 9
  • Location: Wackford Complex/Laguna Community Park

TEENS

Enjoy your summer days filled with games, activities and swimming, then end the week with a fun, themed party. REGISTER HERE!

  • Time: 9 am - 4 pm (with free extended care option)

  • Location: Wackford Complex Teen Center

Learn the different aspects of the game, including putting, chipping, full swing, parts of a golf hole, parts of a golf club, and much more. REGISTER HERE!

Jr Guard Summer Camp

JR. GUARD

This dynamic summer camp provides participants training in different American Red Cross Lifeguarding skills while building confidence, fitness, self-esteem, and promoting teamwork. REGISTER HERE!

PRESCHOOL

Campers will prepare for the preschool year ahead through games, arts & crafts, science projects, and more in a fun environment designed for preschoolers! REGISTER HERE!

RAD KIDS

This camp is specially designed for kids with disabilities to enjoy a variety of recreational experiences including games, art, crafts, physical activity, outdoor and sensory play. REGISTER HERE!

NATURE

Explore the intersection of art and nature through hands-on art making and weekly nature walks on nearby trails. REGISTER HERE!

SCIENCE

PERFORMING ARTS

Explore your acting, singing and dancing skills while participating in daily theater games and activities. REGISTER HERE!

ART EXPLORATION

Express your creativity while learning art techniques through the use of pastels, colored pencils and painting. REGISTER HERE!

HOW TO REGISTER

Cosumnes Parks & Recreation programs are available on our online registration site. All customers must create an account at this site to register for programs. 

Registration is also available by phone at 916-405-5600 from 8 am - 8 pm on weekdays, and 8 am - 5 pm on weekends.

  • Resident registration opens Wednesday, April 12 at 8 am.
  • Non-resident registration opens Wednesday, April 19 at 8 am.
