Teen Pathways is a program funded by Measure E to create fun and safe opportunities for youth outside of school hours. We provide positive outlets that encourage youth to engage with the community in a safe and secure environment. Teen Pathways programs/events are designed for teens 12 – 17 year olds. Measure E funding allows us to offer these programs free or at a low cost to our community. Pre-registration is required to ensure we have supplies and supervision.

This is a drop-off program; guardians cannot attend. If you choose to remain on-site, many of our community centers, including the Wackford Community and Aquatic Complex, have a public lobby available. Our teen services staff will provide supervision and structure during programs and events. We maintain a 10 to 1 ratio of teens to staff; this may be reduced for field trips.

Teen Wellness Group 

Join Teen Pathways for a monthly teen enrichment and support group. Every first and third Tuesday CSD staff will lead teens in mindfulness activities, provide educational resources and facilitate group discussions to explore the challenges and successes of modern-day teenagers.

Teen Takeover 

On Saturday nights, enjoy open recreation and gym activities at Wackford Community Complex during Teen Takeover. It's a great opportunity to hang out with friends and have fun in a lively environment.

Teen Takeover - PARTY EDITION

On Saturday nights, enjoy a GLOW-IN-THE-DARK session of open recreation games in the teen center or open gym time at Wackford Community Complex during Teen Takeover. It's a great opportunity to hang out with friends and have fun in a lively environment. Food and drink will be provided.

Teen Pathways Field Trips 

This fall, Teen Pathways presents a range of thrilling field trips, from Renaissance fairs, Nimbus Fish Hatchery, light rail trips to Old Sacramento and more. Join our crew for an adventure-filled experience your teen won't want to miss!

Teen Pathways Late Nights

The Grove Teen Center staff hosts Friday Late Night events from 6:30pm-8:30pm for Teens only. These events have consisted of movie nights, a Halloween haunted house, karaoke nights, and more! Food and drink of some sort will be provided at each event. This is a drop-off event. Guardians will not be allowed to attend.
