Opportunities for Middle School Students
The Teen Leadership Committee (TLC) is a leadership group that gives middle school students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, how to work in a team setting, brainstorm imaginative ideas and solutions, and maintain a positive attitude while leading or assisting in a project. Past projects have included creating and collecting Valentine’s Day cards for children in hospitals and volunteering at Cosumnes CSD’s special events.
Meeting and Events
TLC members meet every other week to learn leadership skills, engage and develop through team building, and plan events for youth. Previous Teen Leadership Committees have visited California State University, planned a special event for a Kid Central site, and prepared for an interview and application process for the Teen Action Committee.
TLC Eligibility Requirements
